Polaris offers four adult classes in electricity designed to bring you or your employees up to speed with current code, safety practices, and troubleshooting. All classes are short-term – 36 hours – and combine theory with hands-on practice in our electrical lab.
Electricity: AC & DC Basic – starts Sept. 6 – perfect for the beginner – hands-on training includes soldering circuit boards, breadboarding circuits and using multimeters
Residential Electrical Wiring – starts Sept. 5 - electrical theory with hands-on training in home wiring, fuse boxes, switch plates and ceiling fans
Industrial Motor Controls – starts Oct.23 – ladder logic and reading schematics combined with wiring 3-phase motors, programming VFDs and troubleshooting, and more
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) – starts Oct. 19 – PLC theory with hands-on training on wiring, programming, and isolating common system failures
